Where Zoom Workplace keeps its logs

Zoom Workplace logs to %APPDATA%\Zoom\logs on Windows.

Zoom Workplace logs to ~/Library/Logs/zoom.us on macOS.

Paths are printed exactly as Zoom Workplace writes them. Environment variables like %LOCALAPPDATA% and $XDG_STATE_HOME are never expanded, so a path can be pasted straight into a shell. How to turn on debug logging for Zoom Workplace

1. Open Settings > General > Zoom Workplace App and turn on the diagnostic data viewer (it uses up to 200 MB).
2. Select Open diagnostic data viewer.
3. Select Settings at the bottom left, then Memory log.
4. Turn on Autosave memory log and set the memory log level to All.
5. Reproduce the problem, then select Go to folder to find the memory logs.
6. Windows: Autosaved memory logs go in a zoom.us subfolder of %appdata%\Zoom\logs.
7. If Zoom support sends you a troubleshooting build, install it to get more detailed logs, then uninstall it afterwards.

How to collect Zoom Workplace logs

1. Windows: Open %APPDATA%\Zoom\logs, zip the latest files and attach the zip to the ticket.
2. macOS: In ~/Library/Logs, right-click zoom.us and choose Compress.
3. Linux: Run cd ~/.zoom.
4. Linux: Run tar -cvvf logs.tar logs and attach logs.tar.
5. To export a memory log, turn off Autosave memory log in the diagnostic data viewer and select Export Memory Log; each export is a new zip.
6. macOS: For a crash, open Console > Diagnostic Reports and take the latest zoom.us report.
7. macOS: For an install problem, open Console > Log Reports and take zoomusinstall.log.
8. Windows: For an MSI install log, run msiexec /package ZoomInstallerFull.msi /lex zoommsi.log.
