Where TeamViewer keeps its logs

TeamViewer logs to C:\Program Files\TeamViewer\TeamViewer[Version]_Logfile.log on Windows. 1 other Windows log location is recorded below.

How to turn on debug logging for TeamViewer

1. Open Extras > Options > Advanced and turn on logging; log files are only written while it is on.
2. In the same section, turn on Log incoming connections and Log outgoing connections.

How to collect TeamViewer logs

1. Windows and macOS: Choose Extras > Open Log Files.
2. Linux: Run sudo teamviewer ziplog.
3. Collect logs from both sides of the connection and note the time of the issue.
4. Windows: For a full bundle, run the Support Collector, TeamViewer_SupportCollector.exe, which writes TV_SC_#########_WIN.zip.
5. macOS: The Support Collector saves TeamViewer_SupportCollectorResults_OSX.zip to the Desktop.
