Where Adobe Creative Cloud keeps its logs

Adobe Creative Cloud logs to %LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\ACC.log on Windows. 1 other Windows log location is recorded below.

Paths are printed exactly as Adobe Creative Cloud writes them. Environment variables like %LOCALAPPDATA% and $XDG_STATE_HOME are never expanded, so a path can be pasted straight into a shell. Where a path differs between installer types or shipping flavours, each one is racked as its own card below - why that happens.

How to collect Adobe Creative Cloud logs

  1. Download the Adobe Log Collector tool for your platform (LogCollectorTool.exe on Windows).
  2. Close all Adobe apps.
  3. Run the Log Collector tool as an administrator and accept the consent prompt.
  4. Find the output, saved as a ZXP file on your desktop.
  5. Select Upload to send it to Adobe; you receive a reference number by email.
  6. To read an install log yourself, open DLM.log or PDApp.log and search from the bottom for ERROR, then FATAL, with Match Case on.
  7. For a clean DLM.log, delete it and run the install again, as the file appends every attempt.
